Define Your Greatness

As we end one year and look to start a new one I have just one question for you:

Are you living the life you really want to live?

I’ve been immersing myself in several books as of late which tell the story of people living their dreams, defining their greatness and ultimately discovering who they were destined to be. They designed exactly the life they wanted to have for themselves both personally and professionally and are living it…more successfully and more happily than most.

They weren’t waiting on the world to come to them, they were out there day and night making it happen. They were undeterred and unwilling to give up on their dreams. And when faced with obstacles that would seem too great to overcome, they simply overcame them.

As we enter a new year the question I ask you is one that I ask myself. If your answer isn’t crystal clear then maybe it’s time for a little soul searching. Maybe it’s time you finally take the reins and regain control of your life. Perhaps it’s just time you wake up and make some different decisions, put in some better work, refuse to settle for any more table scraps.

Maybe it’s time you started defining and living your greatness.

You have it you know? We all do. Some of us just need to find it.

No time like the present right?

It just seems like yesterday we were turning the corner on the new millennium and yet in a few days it will be another new year. Life flies by so quickly and it waits for no one. You have to make it stop and take notice.

So in the upcoming year. how will you define your greatness?

Ripple On!!!

P.S. I’ll share some of those book titles with you if you care to know what I’m reading, just let me know by leaving a comment.

Hey Tanya! Hope things are well in South Texas my friend.
What I am reading….Just finished Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. Also read a fascinating book called Bruce by Peter Ames Carlin. Over Christmas I finished David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.  Next up is Willpower by Roy Baumeister & John Tierney. I’ve got a couple of mystery and science fiction downloaded to my Kindle as well but always find myself reading for work more than pleasure reading.
What are you reading these days?

Things are going very well in South Texas! I actually just finished reading Winston Churchill, CEO by Alan Axelrod followed by Damn Few, Making the Modern SEAL Warrior by Rorke Denver. Rorke is a former SEAL and was at one time in charge of SEAL training. He was also heavily influenced by Winston Churchill. Currently I am reading A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Then I will probably read either Gandhi, CEO by Alan Axelrod or one of the other Stephen Hawking’s books sitting on my book case of “waiting to be read” books.
